Watch 2010 BET Awards Live Stream Online: Since 2010, the Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards has not failed the millions of audience worldwide. The award body continues to give recognitions to thousands of African Americans in the field of music, acting, sports and entertainment. This year, expect a bigger and better BET Awards Live Stream as it celebrates its tenth-anniversary. Queen Latifah will host the live event, which will air on June 27th Sunday.
Two new categories are added in the field of nominations. These are the “Best Movie” and the “Young Stars Award.” For the Best Movie, nominations include The Avatar, Law Abiding Citizen, Michael Jackson’s This Is It, Precious: Based on the novel PUSH by Sapphire and The Blindside. The YoungStars Award include Selena Gomez, JJ Lewis, Keke Palmer, Willow Smith and Tyler James Williams.
As Drake, Jay-Z and Nicki Minaj lead the nominations circle, there are some interesting characters taking account the Subway Sportswoman and man of the Year. Standing as the current world number one and two in WTA rankings, Serena Williams and elder sister and Wimbledon Champion, Venus are both nominated for sportswoman of the year. The Williams sisters are accompanied by Candace Parker, Vanessa James and Tamika Catchings in the said category.
In the Sportsman Category, three big names in the field of basketball and golf are nominated. Tiger Woods, LeBron James and Kobe Bryant all secure a spot along with Carmelo Anthony and Usain Bolt.
Usher and Beyonce are once again nominated for Best R&B Artist.These two have won this category for three times. Usher brought home the bacon in 2002, 2004 and 2005 while Beyonce in 2004, 2007 and 2009. This year, will these two distinguished artists continue their feat?
In Best Male R&B Artist, Usher will face strong contenders for the title. These include Chris Brown, Raheem DeVaughn, Maxwell and Trey Songz. In Best Female R&B, Beyonce is right on the pack with Alicia Keys, Mary J. Blige, Rihanna and Melanie Fiona.
Young at hearts out there has a reason to celebrate. Justin Bieber is one of the nominees in the Best New Artist along with Young Money, Wale, Melanie Fiona and Nicki Minaj.
