Two of the most powerful fighters in the history of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will face off in a fight that will end all fights. Tito Ortiz, the longest reigning former light heavyweight champion of the UFC, will go against former light heavyweight champion Forrest Griffin. UFC 106 will be held in Mandalay Bay Events Center, Las Vegas, Nevada, on November 21, 2009. Watch UFC 106 Live Stream as both fighters have what it takes to win, both will not surrender, and both will not stop until the other falls down. As Ortiz puts it, this will be “the fight of the year.”No one can deny the skills the others posses when fighting inside the Octagon. Ortiz has strength on his side, a good wrestler, great conditioning, vicious ground and pound punches with his size adding tactical advantage whenever he performs submission moves against his opponents, although his speed may prove to be his undoing. Griffin, on the other hand, has speed and grappling skills that are handy against the slower Ortiz, with well rounded fighting styles, and the heart that will keep him moving on. Still, there is the risk that a good hit can knock him down, just like what happened when Anderson Silva knocked him out with a punch when Griffin got carelessly close in the first round.
The defeat suffered by both fighters in their respective matches have left them longing for a comeback fight. Both fighters have prepared intensively for the upcoming fight. There has been issues about Ortiz's back problems, but the former champion has brushed it off, saying that his back is as good as new, and he's going to bring Griffin down on his back. Griffin is also taking a more positive outlook in the upcoming fight, promising that he would give his best and not do what he did when he lost to Anderson last August.
This may not be a title match, but fans and spectators have long waited for a rematch between the two. The narrow split-decision win of Ortiz against Griffin has left many viewers desiring for another fight to settle the issue once and for all. The fight had been quite unsatisfactory for Griffin who had said that, “I feel so good right now that I'd like to do another two,” indicating that he wishes to fight Ortiz again to finally prove who is the better man. Ortiz, for his part, would like to have a rematch to reassert his dominance in the light heavyweight division. He had been dissatisfied in his last fight with Griffin, and he had promised viewers that he will be in top form when he faces Griffin this November. The only question is, “Is Forrest (Griffin) ready?”
This November at UFC 106 Live Online, two warriors will face each other again. Both will want to bring the other down. Both will give everything they have. But in the end, there can only be one. Who will that be?
